Evaluate

The Evaluate section contains the information used to organise field evaluations, plan observations, and record crop management activities. It includes locations, crop layouts, field books, and operations. See also basic interaction.

Locations

A location represents the geographical location at which one or more crop layouts are established.

Crop layouts

A crop layout represents the arrangement of plots or crops within a field or part of a field associated with a specific location.

Crop layouts are not necessarily bound to a specific period or growing season. Their temporal occurrence can be documented through associated management operations.

Crops

A crop represents an experimental unit within a crop layout, typically a field plot. Each crop is associated with a variety and can be referred to by observations.

Field books

A field book defines a plan for collecting observations on a crop layout. Observations can be made on either traits or parameters.

Operations

An operation defines a type of crop management activity that can be recorded for a specific crop layout.
