Register

The Register section contains the information used to identify plant varieties and record their legal status. It includes plant species, varieties, protections, and entities. See also basic interaction.

Plant species

A plant species identifies the species to which varieties belong.

Varieties

Varieties are associated with a plant species and provide the central record to which descriptions, samples, protections, and other information can be linked.

Protections

A protection records a legal status associated with a variety, such as its inclusion in a national register or catalogue, or the granting of a plant variety right. Protection types are configurable and are not limited to the predefined set, allowing different registration and protection systems to be represented.

Entities

An entity represents a legal or organisational entity associated with a protection record, such as an applicant, holder, breeder, or other responsible organisation.
